THURSDAY | APRIL 3

Deep Sushi in Noe Valley area. Miss Paderang shows me the ropes on good $3 dollar sakes and other entrees to wet my whistle. Highly recommend the place. A little small but trendy and appropriate for what it is. I’ve heard that on weekends, it has more of a scene with a DJ and drunken SF locals to mix and mingle. I am sure I’ll be back for the festivities.

After some delay in getting off on the wrong Muni stop, walking about a half mile with a bag of pee in my stomach, I finally got to Club Six to meet up with the design boys from SF State. Check out Wes’ mean handle with the can. Graffiti is something I pride myself in saying I am more of a fan then a activist. I have never put anything down with spray cans and am more of a pencil pusher of some sorts. Let’s just say doodling on paper is way different then actually translating it onto a wall. It takes a lot skill, whether it is an act of vandalism or not….and you have to respect that.

Whether with cans or a sharpie, everyone was getting down. The “little girl with branches and shit coming out of her head” was probably one of our favorite pieces, and dude did it in like a blink of an eye. The “little mountain of penis faces” on the other hand was not turning me on.

And getting back home is always an adventure now. Sometimes I don’t know what the hell I am doing but I always seem to find myself back in bed in time to get up for work at 5:30am…only to be back in the same place that I was on the next day. Should have just bummed it on the streets.

FRIDAY | APRIL 4

Session number two. Not even sure what the place was called but I know it was near Valencia St. I must be just hittin’ all the good ones cause the service, food and drinks were awesome! Think of a place that is prissy but serves down to earth stuff in a high end fashion. If you know what is good for you, get the grilled mac and cheese sticks with the marinara sauce and have them bump some Outkast “B.O.B.” to boot.

And later Ann and I went to Double Dutch which is pretty much next door to the unknown restaurant above. With the theme of the bar (80’s Wild Style), I kind of wish they played more old school jams like Roxanne Shante or old LL, but the DJ seemed to be in his own realm and we just kind of had to follow the pace that he was going. These are one of those things where underground music doesn’t translate to drunk people that want to dance. Still everyone had fun…..I had fun! Peep the “Night At The Roxbury” boys at the corner that were humping everything that didn’t have testicles. Ladies, beware where you pelvic thrust because they see that as an invitation to tag team whenever deemed necessary. Thanks to Ann for being my wing-man (woman) and for breaking me in to spots in SF that I have never been to. I am broke now…..
